QM Talks@CBPF: Masamitsu Bando — 26.02, 14:30h

Dear all,

giving continuity to our series of talks, next Wednesday we have Masamitsu Bando (Kinki University, Japan) as speaker. Masamitsu is visiting the quantum information group at CBPF, and he will probably join the group as postdoc soon. The info about the talk is below.

See you there!

Speaker: Masamitsu Bando

Coordinates: room 601D, CBPF. 26.02, 14:30h

Title: How to design robust NMR pulses

Abstract: The concatenated composite pulse (CCCP) is one of the most powerful schemes to realize robust quantum controls against systematic errors
in NMR quantum computing. I will present a brief introduction to composite pulse and CCCP. I will also propose a new method to design composite pulses that are robust against both systematic errors and decoherence.
